I Can No Longer Associate Myself Curated by Stefano Mandracchia

I CAN NO LONGER ASSOCIATED WITH MYSELF is a collective tribute to Rosemary's Baby, movie by Roman Polanski. The houses in the films of the polish-french film director are often animated by the signs and memories of those who used to live into, are living organisms where the traces of the past stars of the film are disturbing. By this connection between the movie and the rooms of spazio Morris, closed for twenty years, six students after completing their studies at the Fine Arts Academy of Brescia Santa Giulia: Valeria Cavagnoli , Valentina Dotti, Silvia Inselvini, Francesca Longhini , Paolo Richetti, Lucia Seghezzi test themselves. The artists invited by Stefano Mandracchia, this time as teacher and curator, rather than as an artist, have created site specific works. The show's title, I CAN NO LONGER ASSOCIATED WITH MYSELF, which is the unfinished sentence that Rosemary read on the documents abandoned by the former owner of the house recently purchased. A sentence that encompasses the concept of individual in relation to a group; a sentence that, somehow, all participants in the project (including the curator) may say or think, because this exhibition marks the end of a certain kind of relationship between them all.
